BRINGING THE VINTAGE EXPERIENCE TO YOU!
“Our mission is simple: to serve
God by faithfully serving others.
We want to give small businesses
a platform to grow, artisans a
place to share their work, and
our community a place to gather,
slow down, and enjoy something
meaningful together.”
There is something magical about transformation-the beauty of watching something find new life and discovering something
beautiful laid the foundation for our ownership of Vintage Market Days® of South Central Texas. John and I both grew up
in Grand Prairie, Texas, and eventually became teachers in the school district that raised us. Outside the classroom, I was an
amateur carpenter, building chests and tables for family and friends. One day, I spotted an old wooden dresser on the side of
the road. Beneath layers of chippy white paint was beautiful English walnut. I stripped it, restored it, and gave a forgotten piece
another fifty years of life.
That dresser changed everything.
Not long after, I became a vendor with Vintage Market Days®, traveling from market to market with restored furniture and
vintage home goods, finding new homes for old treasures and watching them become part of someone else’s story. John and
I thought about owning a Vintage Market Days® territory ourselves someday, but the opportunity found us sooner than we
expected. As we prayed and pursued ownership, we encountered obstacles and insecurities. We accepted that perhaps this door
wasn’t meant for us. We thanked God for the opportunity and moved on. Soon after, everything changed. Everything divinely
came together, and we were able to purchase the market. From that moment on, we placed this new chapter in God’s hands.
That spirit inspired the theme for our first market: Memory Lane.
Returning to the Expo Center feels like coming home, but Memory Lane is about more than a familiar place. It’s about the
things our grandmothers had, the pieces we remember from childhood, and the stories we carry into our own homes. It’s about
choosing something with history and giving it a future. Vintage Market Days is about vintage treasures, but also about makers,
independent boutiques, specialty foods, small businesses, and the people behind them. Most of all, it’s about the experience-the
conversations, discoveries, laughter, and memories made along the way. We would be honored to welcome you to our Vintage
Market Days® Memory Lane event! Come spend the day with us, explore beautiful things, and make some memories of your own.
While you are there, find us and say hello—we can’t wait to see you there!
